Want to know a little bit about me?

Hi there! I'm Sharell-(pronounced Shuh-rell)! I am so glad you decided to stop on over and read a bit about me!

I am a Santa Barbarian; locally born and raised. When I was growing up, we always had an assortment of animals in our home-lizards, snakes, golden retrievers, birds, cats, rats (pet rats, don't worry!), turtles, tropical fish, the list goes on! Quite the menagerie! And I loved it.

I couldn't get enough of the animals. I was especially fond of the lizards and dogs. I was always toting around a reptilian friend and always had a dog at my feet. Since my father owns DogWatch Hidden Fence of Santa Barbara (he professionally installs electronic pet containment systems and then trains the dogs to it), I often got to go along and help train the dogs with him. It was so much fun seeing all the different dog breeds-not to mention there are now several cats and a pig that have DogWatch!

I went on to college at UC Davis to study animal biology where I continued to work around wildlife and conduct research on species such as bluegill fish, rabbits, beavers, and turtles. Upon returning home from college my dad offered me a job working with him while I was still in town. I happily said yes; I love being around dogs and working with my dad so it was a win-win!

Since being back in Santa Barbara, I also developed a love for photography. Whenever my friends or family would ask me to pet sit for them, I would always take some pictures of their furry friends. I would have prints made and give them to the owners when they returned home, and they loved them. That made me so happy!

I also love art. I really enjoy painting. So why not combine all 3?! Pet sitting, photography, and paintings. So that my friends, is what I have done. I will watch your precious pets while you are away, take adorable pictures of them, and can create a custom piece of art of your pet that can be admired throughout the years.

I am still working with my dad and DogWatch during the day. Good thing I can pet sit in the mornings, during our work breaks, in the afternoons/evenings, and weekends!

Thank you for visiting my site and taking the time to read more about me!
